U-11.1 Boys

I am very proud of the team's efforts, hard work and determination. Congratulations to each one of them as I could not have asked more as they played their hearts out up to the final game.

This second place finish is a great accomplishment to end the season. The team has had its ups and downs throughout the season, but the players have always shown a lot of heart and dedication. This was the result of hard fought games during the weekend tournament with 90 degree weather and a killer humidity.
Congratulations to all the players, parents for their support and to Coach Juan Garcia.

U-9.2 Boys, U9 Silver Division Champion

On April 18-19, 2009 the MLSC U9.2 boys "Protected Their House" as they won our very own Miami Lakes Spring Shootout Silver Division. The team turned in a spectacular performance throughout the weekend, coming out victorious in 3 group play matches and advancing to the final. Saturday they defeated Miami Beach Soccer U9 by the score of 5-3, and Weston Fury Barcelona 6-1. On Sunday morning they beat Doral Milan 5-4 to advance to the Championship Final in the afternoon. In the Final, they once again battled and defeated Miami Beach U9 Soccer 4-1.
"This tournament is one that I emphasized to the team that being at home is where they should have the most fun, but winning the tournament makes it the highlight of our season. Our passion, intensity and the never-quit mentality is very hard to match, and we definitely like to use that to our advantage." said Coach Billy Rivera. "I also want to specially thank our parents for the great support they provided not only this weekend, but all season long. Thank you."

After an exciting championship game against Miami Springs Red Bulls, Miami Lakes U12 Girls soccer team came out victorious in their Miami Lakes Spring Shootout Tournament. The Miami Lakes team was ahead 2 - 0 at the half and Miami Springs came back in the third quarter to tie the game. After that it was head to head until the Miami Lakes team scored their third goal and remained in the lead for the rest of the game. Final score was 5 - 3.
